Auburn Old Town Gallery
In Auburn, California, the Auburn Old Town Gallery is an artists' cooperative. The Gallery, which first opened its doors in 1995, now houses the work of about 50 local artists who work in a variety of media. The city of Auburn was founded in the Sierra Nevada mountains' foothills during the Gold Rush of 1849. There are some new treasures at the Auburn Old Town Gallery. Take a walk through Old Town Auburn after viewing our collection for a taste of history. Scratchboard and pencil drawings, jewelry, pottery & ceramics, metal & wire sculpture, photography (traditional & digital), painted silk & batik, textile art, woodcarving, blown & fused glass, gourds, pysanky (decorated eggs), encaustics, felting, and photography (traditional & digital). Each artist is supposed to work at the gallery for 8 hours every month, so while shopping at the gallery, you will have the opportunity to interact with one of the artists and learn about their techniques. Our Gallery artists are experts in their fields; some are well-known on a national and worldwide scale, and many have won awards for their work.
